“To be selected for an internship by Television Academy members feels like a dream come true,” said Lovelock. “It has given me the opportunity to reflect on how hard I've worked to pursue a career in this industry and realize that I have a gift that Emmy Award voters can see. I just have to keep going.

“I'm most excited to work with individuals who share the same passion for television and creating meaningful, beautiful work,” said Lovelock. “There is so much to learn simply by being in that environment. And as a part of the directors program, I'm especially eager to learn what it means to be at the center of it all and gain a deeper understanding of how a director guides a project from vision to execution.”

From Brooklyn, New York, Lovelock attended James Madison High School in Brooklyn.

The Television Academy Foundation shapes the art of creating television by engaging and educating the next generation of television professionals, providing essential resources that help them discover their voices, refine their skills and forge rewarding careers in every sector of the television industry. The Internship program provides over 50 students from across the nation with hands-on work experience and networking opportunities for accelerated career development in more than 30 disciplines annually.
