BROOKLYN, NY— A teenage girl and a young man were wounded when gunfire erupted in the parking lot of a McDonald's in Brooklyn just before midnight Monday, police said.
Officers responded to the restaurant on Pennsylvania Avenue in East New York after receiving reports of a shooting.
A 17-year-old girl suffered multiple gunshot wounds in the parking lot. A 19-year-old man was also shot, police said.
Emergency crews transported both victims to Brookdale University Hospital where both remain in stable condition.
An 18-year-old man, who was not shot, fell face-first while running from the gunfire and received treatment for his injuries.
Investigators have not identified a motive or said what sparked the gunfire.
Authorities have not released information about a suspect or whether they recovered a weapon. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the NYPD as the investigation continues.
