A local nurse and State Senator Steve Chan are urging residents to report any suspicious activity, while police conduct necropsies and a reward of $2,500 is offered for information leading to an arrest.
• Brooklyn Company Accused of Selling Fake Construction Safety Cards (bkreader.com) — Brooklyn prosecutors have charged two Queens men and Redcode Inc., which operates on McDonald Avenue in Brooklyn, with allegedly selling fake construction safety cards without required training. Investigators say undercover officers paid $500 for OSHA and Site Safety Training cards, and the Department of Buildings has now invalidated Redcode-issued cards, potentially affecting local construction workers and sites.
