Boro Park Center Resident Wins Statewide "Art From The Heart" Twice!
Resident Margaret Field won in 2021, and now she reclaims victory in 2022

Every year since 2001, New York State's Foundation for Quality Care, a non-profit education and research organization of The New York State Health Facilities Association (NYSHFA) / New York State Center for Assisted Living (NYSCAL) calls for art entries from seniors living at long-term care facilities throughout New York State. Each year as you can imagine, the organization receives between 90 and 120 pieces and by the end of the annual campaign, 13 are chosen for the upcoming calendar put out by the NYSHFA/NYSCAL. One piece for each month plus one for the cover. So it's difficult to win in any given year.

Last year we reported that Boro Park Center resident Margaret Sherry Field won in 2021 for the upcoming 2022 calendar and now we're again reporting that Margaret is repeating and now has won twice, this time in 2022 for the 2023 calendar. Now that's talent! In 2021, her art piece called "A Lady By The Tree" won praises throughout Boro Park Center and throughout the community. This year it should be no different where her piece called "Cloudy Day" is a heart-warm dreamy look from a Brooklyn window onto the brownstones below, the water, and the Verrazano Narrows Bridge in the distance.
