Good morning, Brooklyn! I am your host, Patrick Murray here with three fresh headlines to start your day.

First, today's weather:

Mostly sunny and cold with a high of 35 and a low of 27.

Here are the top stories in Brooklyn today:

  1. Two 70-year-old school bus drivers were attacked and robbed in Borough Park on Thursday morning. Police say that the suspects punched and kicked one of the drivers at a parking lot on 49th Street before stealing cell phones and charges from their buses. The victim was taken to a local hospital in stable condition, while the suspects remain at large. (CBS New York)
  2. A 35-year-old man was slashed in the neck at a Brooklyn subway station at approximately 8 p.m. on Thursday evening. As the victim was walking up the stairs towards the exit of the IRT station in Crown Heights, the attacker first attempted to grab a woman who fled the station, before turning to the victim and cutting his neck. The victim was taken to New York Presbyterian-Brooklyn Methodist Hospital in stable condition while the search continues for the suspect. (Yahoo News)
  3. Permits have been filed to turn a one-story commercial building at 526 Baltic St. in Gowanus into an 11-story mixed-use development. The proposed 148-foot-tall development would yield 63,674 square-feet of residential space split between 96 residences. The building will also yield 10,955 square-feet of commercial space.
