Boy Slashed In The Face On Brooklyn Street: NYPD

BROOKLYN, NY — A 13-year-old boy was slashed in the face during a fight in Coney Island on Thursday, police said.

The incident happened near Neptune Avenue and West 5th Street around 8:15 a.m.

The boy got into an argument with another teenage boy which quickly escalated, police said. The suspect then slashed the boy with a knife.

He was taken to Coney Island Hospital in stable condition.

The suspect fled the scene on foot, there have been no arrests as of Tuesday night.

An investigation remains ongoing.
