Boyfriend Charged In Murder Of Girlfriend And Her Father: NYPD

BROOKLYN, NY — Police have arrested a suspect in the death of a 91-year-old man and his 66-year-old daughter in Brooklyn, and the suspect was the daughter's boyfriend, the New York City Police Department said.

Kerry Lewis, 46, was arrested on Monday afternoon and charged with two counts of murder in the first degree and criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree, officials said.

At 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, Roosevelt Simmons and Jacqueline Delyons were found with slash wounds to their necks in their kitchen at 186 Warwick St. in Cypress Hills.

They were pronounced dead by emergency responders at the scene, officials said.

NYPD has not yet released the motive for the double murder. The investigation is ongoing, police said.
