Hammer Attack Kills Restaurant Worker, 2 Hurt: NYPD

Fufai Pun, 34, was beaten to death and two others critically injured inside a Sheepshead Bay restaurant Tuesday evening, police said.

BROOKLYN, NEW YORK – A Brooklyn man was beaten to death with a hammer inside the Sheepshead Bay restaurant where he worked and two others were critically injured, police said.

Arthur Martunovich, 34, stands accused of attacking Fufai Pun and two other employees inside Seaport Buffet on Emmons Avenue near East 21st Street at about 5:10 p.m. Tuesday evening, police said.

Samantha Randazzo, a manager at the nearby Randazzo's clam bar, told the New York Post buffet patrons fled to her restaurant after what appeared to be a random attack.

“I heard a bunch of people screaming, ‘He’s killing people, lock all the doors,’” Randazzo told the Post.

Martunovich fled the restaurant but was captured and charged with murder, attempted murder and criminal possession of a weapon, police said.

Pun, 34, a 60-year-old man and a 50-year-old man were all rushed to Lutheran Hospital where Pun later died, said police.

The two other victims, whom the New York Post identified as the restaurant owner and manager, remain in critical condition, according to police.
