Brooklyn NYCHA Tenant Associations Receive More Funding
Funding supports Brooklyn NYCHA communities for leadership and programming efforts.
BROOKLYN, NY — Each active Brooklyn NYCHA Tenant Association will receive up to $3,000 for community programming such as family days, backpack giveaways and resident-led events, Brooklyn Borough President Antonio Reynoso announced.
“NYCHA Tenant Associations are the engines of civic life for Brooklyn’s NYCHA developments,” Reynoso said.
Brooklyn received $125,000 in fiscal year 2026 discretionary funding for 78 New York City Housing Authority Tenant Associations across the borough, with allocations based on development population.

The funding continues a multi-year initiative by Reynoso’s office to support tenant associations and resident programming in public housing developments.
Over the past three fiscal years, Reynoso has allocated a total of $365,000 to Brooklyn NYCHA Tenant Associations, according to the announcement.
