Join us for a presentation and discussion on the film industry in Western Queens and New Y ork State, focusing on its role as a key economic driver in our neighborhood and providing up-to-date information for residents and stakeholders.
Featured speakers include Adam Gordon of Wildflower Studios, Catherine Nasch of United Scenic Artists, and Josh Levin of the Motion Picture Association, who will share insights on industry trends, jobs, and investment in our area.
We will also hear updates from Layla Musawwir of NYC Ferry and Victor Prado of the Queens Economic Development Corporation, highlighting transportation and economic development initiatives that support Western Queens.

Join other adults at the&nbsp;Sheepshead Bay Library&nbsp;who are learning to speak English in this weekly English Conversation Group.
This is a drop-in program. Patrons will be admitted on a first come first serve basis until the classroom reaches capacity. 
This is a class for all levels of English. Remember that this program is a safe space for speakers of all levels and backgrounds, so please treat everyone with kindness and respect.

Come meet the JASA representative who will have their own table with resources that they will be providing to others at the Sheepshead Bay Library. If you are aged 60 or older and need assistance or know someone who does, JASA can help.&nbsp;JASA social workers will help you or your family members with a variety of services:
<ul><li>Case Management Services:&nbsp;Comprehensive in-home assessments to develop personalized care plans &nbsp;</li><li>Eligibility screening and application for benefits/entitlements (Food Stamps, SCRIE, Medicaid, Access-a-Ride), housing and much more.</li><li>Home care</li><li>Supportive counseling</li><li>Referrals to community resources</li><li>Home-Delivered Meals (Kosher, Non-Kosher, Halal, Russian, Chinese, and Caribbean).</li><li>Homemaking Services:&nbsp;Assistance with personal care and home maintenance.</li><li>Supportive Counseling:&nbsp;Emotional and mental health support tailored to individual needs.</li><li>Referrals to Community Services:&nbsp;Connecting members to additional resources and services in the community.</li><li>Home Delivered Meals:&nbsp;A variety of meal options, including Kosher, Non-Kosher, Halal, Russian, Chinese, and Caribbean cuisines.
