Summer Sounds Presented by Myrtle Avenue Brooklyn Partnership & Nenos

One stage, seven genres, and 100% Free! Myrtle Avenue Brooklyn Partnership and Neno’s present Summer Sounds, a lively afternoon of music, dance, and celebration on the Myrtle Avenue Plaza on Saturday, July 25, from 2–8pm. 

The lineup brings together a vibrant mix of Latin jazz, salsa, banda, norteño, cumbia, sonidero, and indie rock, featuring The Benny Lopez Latin Jazz Ensemble, Los Carnales de Chinantla, Sonido Scorpio, and Brooklyn-based indie rock project DJ Silky Smooth. The program will also feature the Dance of the Tecuanes, a centuries-old Mexican tradition that combines music, movement, storytelling, carved wooden masks, and elaborate costumes, centered around the symbolic Tecuani, or jaguar figure.
