Crowd Calls For Ceasefire At Grand Army Plaza On Yom Kippur: Report

BROOKLYN, NY — Hundreds participated in a group mourning event on Saturday at Grand Army Plaza to commemorate Yom Kippur and mourn all of the lives lost in the Israel-Hamas war in the Middle East, News 12 Brooklyn reports.

The mourning event was hosted by Park Slope Synagogue Kolot Chayeinu as part of its Yom Kippur services, according to News 12.

The event doubled as a protest to end the violence, and advocacy organizations including Rabbis for Ceasefire, Jewish Voices for Peace, and If Not Now, also co-hosted the event, News 12 reported.
