Deadly Hit-And-Run Under Investigation After 65-Year-Old Struck By Semi: Police

NEW YORK — A 65-year-old man died after he was struck by a semitrailer in a hit-and-run Sunday morning in Brooklyn, according to police.

The incident occurred around 9:45 a.m. in the 700 block of Columbia Street in an industrial area near Gowanus Bay, police said. The semi left the scene and the man was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead, according to police.

No one was immediately arrested and the investigation was ongoing, police said.
