3 Firefighters Hurt Battling 5-Alarm Blaze At Brooklyn Sushi Spot
Three firefighters were injured battling a five-alarm fire above a Brooklyn sushi restaurant early Wednesday, the FDNY said.

MARINE PARK, BROOKLYN —Three firefighters were injured battling a massive blaze in a Brooklyn sushi restaurant early Wednesday, FDNY officials said.
The fire erupted in the cockloft above E Sushi at 2118 Flatbush Ave. near Quentin Road at about 6:15 a.m., according to the FDNY.
Videos posted to Citizen show thick billows of smoke rising from the building as firefighters on the roof try to stop the blaze.

Three firefighters reported minor injuries as crews worked to quell the flames from outside the building, according to FDNY Assistant Chief Richard Howe.
“We were met with heavy fire on arrival,” said How. “The units did a very good job containing the fire to two commercial occupancies... It was a very challenging fire.”
