Brooklyn DA announces charges against former NYPD officer for allegedly raping a woman in a vehicle.
BROOKLYN, NY — A former New York Police Department officer faces charges for allegedly raping a woman after a party in Brooklyn in September, Brooklyn District Attorney Eric Gonzalez said Tuesday.
Daheem Morris, 27, was indicted on charges of third-degree rape, sexual abuse, forcible touching, and sexual misconduct.
The DA said Morris and the victim had known each other for about two years and shared mutual friends. Both attended a party on Sept. 28, 2025.

Prosecutors say Morris allegedly raped the victim in a vehicle afterward, despite her repeated protests.
“This defendant is accused of raping a woman who repeatedly told him to stop, and we will seek to hold him fully accountable,” Gonzalez said. “No one is above the law, especially those who are sworn to uphold it. I am grateful to the victim for her cooperation and to the NYPD for their thorough investigation.”
