Free Brooklyn Workshop To Address Deed Theft, Foreclosure And Homeownership Risks

City Council Member Che Ossé will host the workshop on deed theft, foreclosure, taxes and inheritance risks on Feb. 5.

BROOKLYN, NY — A free, in-person workshop for Brooklyn homeowners addressing foreclosure, deed theft, unpaid property taxes, lien sales and inheritance-related risks will be held on Feb. 5.

The forum, hosted by City Council Member Chi Ossé and Build Up Justice NYC, is scheduled from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. in the multipurpose room at 1368 Fulton St. in Brooklyn.

The event will provide information on preventing home loss and fraud, and on-site legal intakes will be available, Ossé said.
