Girl Fatally Struck By School Bus In NYC Hit-And-Run Crash: NYPD

The 11-year-old girl was attempting to cross the street when she was struck by the school bus.

BROOKLYN, NY — A 11-year-old girl was struck and killed by a school bus in a hit-and-run crash in Brooklyn on Thursday, police said.

The incident happened on 23rd Avenue and Bath Avenue in Bath Beach around 3 p.m.

According to police, the girl was attempting to cross the street when she was struck by the school bus.

The 11-year-old was taken to Maimonides Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead, police said.

The driver of the bus did not stop after the crash but was later found in another part of Brooklyn, police said.

No arrests have been made. It is not known at this time if the bus driver will be facing charges.
