Hit-And-Run Kills 74-Year-Old Pedestrian In Bay Ridge

BROOKLYN, NY — A 74-year-old man was run over while crossing the street at the corner of Ridge Boulevard and Bay Ridge Avenue on Wednesday night, police say.

Emergency responders rushed the pedestrian, named Segundo Reina-Gaon, to NYU Langone Brooklyn around 9 p.m. where he was pronounced dead an hour later, according to the New York City Police Department.

The driver who hit Reina-Gaon fled the scene in a white SUV with a passenger before police got there. Police are looking for the driver now.

No arrests have been made as of Thursday morning, and the investigation is ongoing, police say.
