L Train Tracks Catch Fire Near Bedford Avenue

BROOKLYN— L train service resumed with residual delays Wednesday morning after firefighters extinguished a rubbish fire on the tracks north of the Bedford Avenue station in Williamsburg, according to the FDNY.

The Fire Department received a report of smoke at 10:08 a.m. near the BMT L Line at Bedford Avenue and North Seventh Street, according to the department.

Firefighters found rubbish smoldering on the tracks north of the station, according to the FDNY. One engine company and one ladder company responded and extinguished the fire.
