Man Accused Of Stabbing 72-Year-Old Woman To Death In Brooklyn: DA

He is also accused of stabbing the victim's son.

BROOKLYN, NY — Police have arrested a man named Vadim Semenduyev they suspect of stabbing Malka Semenduyeva and her son in her Brooklyn home on Friday, New York City Police Department officials said.

Police said they found Semenduyeva, 72, and her 47-year-old son with stab wounds to the body on Friday at 9:30 a.m. in their home at 4190 Bedford Ave. in Sheepshead Bay.

Both victims were transported to NYC Health and Hospitals/Coney Island, where Semenduyeva was pronounced dead, according to NYPD officials. The son is expected to survive, police said.

Police have accused Semenduyev, 51, of murder in the second degree and criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree, officials said.

Police have not said what led to the attack, but according to the New York Daily News, the victim was related to her murderer, and neighbors often heard loud arguments coming from her apartment and called 911 on several occasions.
