Man Critically Injured After NYC Hit-And-Run Crash: NYPD

BROOKLYN, NY — Police are searching for an SUV driver who critically injured a 71-year-old man in a hit-and-run crash in Brooklyn.

The incident happened at the intersection of Ocean Avenue and Avenue S in Sheepshead Bay on Thursday, around 6 p.m., police said on Friday.

The 71-year-old was crossing Ocean Avenue when he was struck by the SUV, who did not stop. He was taken to NYU Langone Hospital–Brooklyn, where he remains in critical condition.

The driver of the car fled the scene. No arrests have been made, police said.

An investigation remains ongoing.
