Man Found Dead In Downtown Brooklyn: NYPD

The investigation is underway.

BROOKLYN, NY — A 58-year-old man was found dead inside a downtown Brooklyn apartment on Tuesday afternoon, New York City Police Department officials said.

According to the NYPD, the man was found unconscious and unresponsive with trauma to the head, lying on the floor inside an apartment at 160 Schermerhorn St. at 3:44 p.m. Tuesday.

The police said that the man was pronounced dead at the scene, and the investigation into his death is underway.
