Man Shot Dead On NYC Street, Suspect Still At Large: NYPD
The 40-year-old man was pronounced dead at a local hospital following the Monday morning attack.
BROOKLYN, NY — Police are hunting a suspect after a fatal shooting Monday morning in Brooklyn’s East New York neighborhood, NYPD officials said.
According to the NYPD, Edwin Guevarez Jr., 40, was shot in the chest and right leg near 410 Wortman Ave., close to Jerome Playground in East New York, at about 9:10 a.m.
Police said Guevarez Jr. was rushed to One Brooklyn Health–Brookdale Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

Officials added that the suspect fled the scene and was last seen wearing a ski mask, a blue hooded sweatshirt, gray jeans and multicolored Jordans.
No arrests have been made, and the investigation remains ongoing. The motive is still under investigation.
