NEW YORK, NY— Jessica Scarcella-Spanton leads the race with 72 percent of the vote, according to the NY State Board of Elections, as results show a strong advantage over Omar Mohamad, who holds 26.49 percent.
Scarcella-Spanton received 6,603 votes across all reporting districts as tabulation reached completion.
Mohamad received 2,429 votes.

Write-in votes accounted for 0.36 percent, blank ballots totaled 0.89 percent, and void ballots made up 0.26 percent of the 9,171 total votes cast.
Election officials reported all 158 of 158 districts fully reporting across Kings and Richmond counties.

Scarcella-Spanton maintained consistent leads across both boroughs, including 74.11 percent in Kings County portions and 70.76 percent in Staten Island’s Richmond County sections.
