BROOKLYN, NY— In the 59th Assembly District Democratic primary, Jaime R. Williams leads with 64.28 percent of the vote, according to the NY State Board of Elections, as early results show a wide advantage over challenger Jibreel Jalloh, who holds 32.94 percent.

Williams received 4,172 votes as the count reached completion across all reporting districts. Jalloh received 2,138 votes.

Remaining ballots included 1.28 percent blank votes, 1.26 percent void ballots, and 0.23 percent write-in votes, bringing the total number of votes counted to 6,490.

Election officials reported all 69 of 69 districts accounted for in the tally, with Williams maintaining a consistent lead across reporting areas.
