On Veterans Day November 11, NYPD Officer Intizar Ali Sadiq, from the 66th Precinct in Brooklyn, made an appearance at the Brooklyn Center on Coney Island Avenue, greeting the veterans and handing to them their “Certificate of Merit” for their service.

The facility played patriotic music at the event and speeches were made thanking the veterans. Officer Sadiq made his rounds to meet and greet each veteran plus other residents at the 215 bed facility.

We were so happy that all of the residents who were able to make the photo shoot, did,” said Rabiah Ghani, Recreation Director at Brooklyn Center. "We love our veterans and we were so excited that Officer Sadiq was able to make it."

The ceremony also had live entertainment playing patriotic music and a special lunch for the veterans following the handing out of the Certificates of Merit with Officer Sadiq.
