Car Crashes Into Pedestrian Crossing With Light In Williamsburg: NYPD

The pedestrian was taken to Kings County Hospital with head trauma.

BROOKLYN, NY — A pedestrian was struck by a driver and suffered a head injury in East Williamsburg on Thursday night, New York Police Department officials said.

According to the NYPD, the driver was turning left onto Boerum Street at Manhattan Avenue when she hit a pedestrian who was crossing with the light.

The pedestrian was hit by the front bumper of the car on the driver's side and was removed by emergency responders to Kings County Hospital with head trauma, police said. Police say the victim is conscious, and the driver stayed on the scene.

The investigation is ongoing, and no arrests have been made yet, according to police officials.
