Open House New York 2017: Where To Go And What To See In Brooklyn
Reservations open for this beloved NYC event on Thursday at 11 a.m.
FORT GREENE, BROOKLYN — The public will gain access to hundreds of the New York’s most interesting buildings in Brooklyn during a city-wide open house event next weekend.
The nonprofit Open House New York will host tours of 98 historic sites — including manors, distilleries, consulates and more — for the 15th edition of this annual event on Oct. 14 and Oct. 15.
Reservations open on Thursday at 11 a.m., and require a $5 payment. There are also more than 140 sites that will open to the public without reservations.

Among the list of notable buildings in Brooklyn — which includes an exclusive peek into the New York Transit Museum archives and the former “Grand Central Depot” of the Underground Railroad — is the Kings County Distillery in Fort Greene, where OHNY will offer a guided tour of the Paymaster Building and the oldest operating whiskey distillery in the city.
Other notable sites in Brooklyn include the A/D/O design space in Greenpoint, the Square Roots Farm in a former Bed-Stuy Pfizer factory, and the West Elm global headquarters in DUMBO.
