Teen Accused Of Fatally Shooting Mom’s Boyfriend In NYC Apartment
The teen allegedly shot the 43-year-old after he confronted the teen about smoking weed.
BROOKLYN, NY — Police have arrested a teenager who is accused of fatally shooting his mother's boyfriend in a Brooklyn apartment last week.
A 16-year-old boy has been charged with murder and criminal possession of a weapon. He has been identified as Tristan Hightower, who is the victim's stepson, police said.
Jamal Davis, 43, was found on the floor with gunshot wounds to his chest and arm in an apartment at 75 Cumberland Walk in Fort Greene on April 12.

He was rushed by medics to NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
According to reports, the shooting may have stemmed from an argument after Hightower was smoking weed inside the home earlier in the morning.
