BROOKLYN, NY — A woman has been arrested after authorities discovered a man's dismembered body in a Flatbush apartment Monday evening, the New York City Police Department said, according to multiple reports.

Police were called to an apartment on Nostrand Avenue between Farragut and Glenwood roads for a wellness check around 7:10 p.m. Monday, after which they found multiple dismembered body parts in a refrigerator, according to police and the New York Daily News.

At the apartment, police said they found a woman who had several open warrants for theft, PIX11 reported.
