Woman Killed In Brooklyn Hit-And-Run Crash, Driver Still At Large

BROOKLYN, NY — A woman was struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver in Brooklyn early Friday morning, police said.

The incident happened on Pitkin Avenue and Mother Gaston Boulevard in Brownsville around 6:50 a.m.

The woman was in the crosswalk when she was struck by a vehicle heading west on Pitkin Avenue, police said. The driver did not stop after the crash.

EMS pronounced the woman dead at the scene.

Additional details on the victim have not been released. The woman who was killed has not been identified pending family notification.

The driver remains at large. An investigation remains ongoing.
