Woman Killed By Unmarked Police Van In Brooklyn: Police Sources
The identity of the victim is pending, police said.

BROOKLYN, NY — A woman was struck and killed by a minivan in Brooklyn on Wednesday evening, New York City Police Department officials said. Police sources said that the minivan was an unmarked NYPD vehicle.
According to the NYPD, the woman was lying in the road on Pennsylvania Avenue near Riverdale Avenue when a Toyota minivan traveling northbound on Pennsylvania Avenue struck her.
Emergency responders rushed the woman, who had body and head injuries, to Brookdale Hospital and Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead, police said.

Officers said that the the 33-year-old driver of the van remained on the scene, and was also transported to a local hospital in stable condition, along with the two other passengers in the car.
There are no arrests at this time and the investigation remains ongoing by the NYPD Highway District's Collision Investigation Squad.
