Woman Stabbed To Death In Brooklyn Park

CROWN HEIGHTS, BK— A 30-year-old woman was fatally stabbed inside Lincoln Terrace Park in Crown Heights early Tuesday, and police are searching for a man who fled the scene.

Officers responded to a report of a stabbing shortly after 12:40 a.m. and found the woman suffering from multiple stab wounds throughout her body, according to police.

EMS rushed her to Brookdale Hospital Medical Center in critical condition. She later died.

Investigators have not determined what relationship, if any, existed between the victim and the attacker.

The man fled on foot and was last seen running down Rochester Avenue wearing only gray pants, according to police.

Police have not released a description of his face or identified a possible motive.

Crime Scene Unit investigators remained at the park for hours, placing evidence markers around the area as a section of the park stayed blocked off.

Investigators marked items including a wig and part of a grill.

The killing comes days after another deadly shooting in the neighborhood.

On Sunday, a 33-year-old woman was killed after gunfire erupted near Bergen Street and Howard Avenue.

The investigation into the stabbing remains ongoing.
