You Can Now Get Brooklyn's Di Fara Pizza Anywhere In The Country
A food service that ships regional favorites to the rest of the country has added Brooklyn's iconic Di Fara pizza to its menu.

BROOKLYN, NY — The borough's iconic pizzeria isn't just for Brooklynites anymore.
Midwood's famous Di Fara Pizza has been added to the menu of a food company that ships regional favorites nationwide. That means that starting Thursday, people across the country can order up one of the historic eatery's pies.
The pizzeria — which first opened in 1965 and has since been coveted as one of New York City's best — was one of the most requested items to be added to Goldbelly in the company's history, founder Joe Ariel told Patch. Goldbelly teams up with hundreds of local food vendors and ships their creations nationwide.

"We've had more than 20,000 requests from customers to get Di Fara shipping on GB," Ariel said. "There are many people around the country who crave the taste of NYC and the iconic pizza of Di Fara's and can't get it. We aim to make their food dreams come true."
Di Fara isn't the first New York City pizza favorite to join Goldbelly's long list of food options.

Sal's Little Italy, Lazzara's and Prince Street Pizza all make an appearance on Goldbelly's website, along with other Brooklyn favorites such as Emmy Squared, Table 87 and Roberta's.
Ariel said the company worked for months with Di Fara's famous owners to get the packaging and the product just right for shipping across the country.
Di Fara was first opened by Domenico "Dom" De Marco, who will celebrate his 83rd birthday on Thursday, the same day Di Fara goes nationwide. De Marco, who reportedly still makes pizza at the Midwood eatery, has said that people already come from across the globe to try his pizza.
The pizzas will ship frozen and packed with ice packs so they can be put in the fridge or freezer when they get to their destination, Goldbelly said. Di Fara's pies will also include small bags of fresh basil to add to the pizza once it's heated up.
In honor of De Marco's birthday, Di Fara lovers can get a four-pack of pizzas for a discounted $83 at the start of the launch on Goldbelly.
