The Red Cross responded to the scene as well, and provided the family of five with "emergency funds for basic necessities," a spokesman told Patch. However, although their apartment was completely destroyed in the fire, the family appeared to have found another place to stay, and did not require emergency housing assistance from the Red Cross.
