Brownsville Man Killed by Driver Who Also Struck 5 Vehicles: Police

A 43-year-old Brownsville resident was killed crossing Avenue A near Linden Boulevard on Monday.

BROWNSVILLE, BROOKLYN, — A man was struck and killed Monday by a driver who managed to also hit four parked cars and one moving vehicle in while driving down a short stretch of Avenue A in Brownsville, police said.

Marlon Palacious, a 43-year-old resident of Brownsville, was crossing Avenue A near Linden Boulevard around 5:21 p.m. when he was struck by a 2004 Nissan Pathfinder, police told Patch. Palacious was found by EMS lying in the roadway suffering from trauma about the body, police said. EMS pronounced Palacious dead on the scene, police told Patch.

After an investigation the NYPD Highway District's Collision Investigation Squad determined that the driver of the Nissan Pathfinder hit four parked cars while traveling down Avenue A from Remsen Avenue to Linden Boulevard, police said. The driver of the Nissan Pathfinder also hit a 2012 Audi stopped at the corner of Avenue A and Linden Boulevard and came to a rest on the west side of the intersection, police said.

The drivers of the Nissan Pathfinder and Audi remained on the scene. Police told Patch that no arrests were made.
