Brownsville Woman Surrenders After Deadly Shooting Outside Union-Sutter Houses, Police Say

Tyaisha Key faces murder charges for the death of Leonard Reddick on June 21, police say.

BROWNSVILLE, BROOKLYN — The woman who allegedly shot a man dead outside his home in June has been charged with murder, police announced Tuesday.

Tyaisha Key, 27, is accused of shooting Leonard Reddick, 29, outside the Union-Sutter Houses at on June 21 around 12:30 a.m., according to police.

Reddick, a Crips gang member, had been playing craps outside his home when he began to argue with Key, who was known to him lived less than a block away, the Daily News reported.

Key turned herself into police custody two weeks after the shooting, according to the NYPD.

Key’s arraignment in Brooklyn Criminal Court was pending as of Tuesday morning, court records show.
