Canarsie Man Shot Dead In Parked SUV, Police Say

Esley Porteous was shot dead in an SUV parked one block away from his Breukelen Houses home on Saturday, said police.

CANARSIE, BROOKLYN — A Canarsie man was shot dead in a car parked one block away from his home on Saturday, police said.

Emergency responders found Esley Porteous, 33, lying in an SUV’s passenger seat parked on East 108th Street near Flatlands Avenue around 8:40 a.m., police said.

Porteous had a gunshot wound in his chest and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

The Canarsie man lived in the Breukelen Houses at 617 East 108th Street, just one block away from where he was found, police said.

No arrests had been made as of Monday morning, police said.
