Maria was shot in her Brownsville home by a man who came to collect a $400 debt from her owner, said police.

BROWNSVILLE, BROOKLYN — A man killed a Dalmatian named Maria over a $400 debt Sunday morning, according to police and reports.
The shooter barged into a home on Watkins Street near Hegeman Avenue around 10:10 a.m. and demanded he be paid money that was owed to him, said police.
When the resident, whom the Daily News identified as Devin Cambridge, 27, couldn’t come up with the cash, the man pulled out his gun and shot Cambridge’s dog, police said.
