Jaywalker In Critical Condition After Late Night Collision, Police Say

The man tried to cross the 10-lane Linden Boulevard outside the crosswalk in the dark Wednesday night, said police.

BROWNSVILLE, BROOKLYN — A jaywalker who tried to cross a 10-lane street in the dark was hit by a car and is in critical condition, according to police.

The 40-year-old man was crossing Linden Boulevard near Pennsylvania Avenue around 11:40 p.m. when he was knocked down by a passing car, police said.

Emergency responders rushed the man, who suffered from head injuries, to an area hospital in critical condition, police said.

The driver remained on the scene and was not charged with a crime, said police.
