Man Screams Anti-Gay and Anti-Asian Slurs During Brooklyn Hate Crime Beating, Police Say
Police are looking for a man who screamed homophobic and racist insults at a man he kicked and punched on Eastern Parkway in April.

BROWNSVILLE — Police are hunting for the man who punched and kicked a man while yelling homophobic and racist slurs.
The 28-year-old victim bumped into his attacker on Eastern Parkway near Buffalo Avenue around 10 a.m. on April 29, police said.
The man became enraged and began to yell anti-gay and anti-Asian remarks as he repeatedly punched and kicked his victim, police said.

The attacker — whom police describe as a six-foot-tall man in his mid-20s with short, black curly hair and a goatee — fled in an unknown direction, police said.
The victim was treated and later released from a nearby hospital, said police.

Police said the attack is being investigated as a hate crime.
