Man Tries To Rape Woman In Canarsie McDonald's Bathroom, Police Say
Jason Smith exposed himself to a woman in a public bathroom near Rockaway Parkway and Conklin Avenue Friday afternoon, police said.

BROWNSVILLE, BROOKLYN — A man exposed himself to a terrified woman in a McDonald’s bathroom has been charged with attempted rape, according to police and reports.
Jason Smith, 29, followed his 22-year-old victim into a store bathroom near Rockaway Parkway and Conklin Avenue around 2:30 p.m. Friday, police said.
The bathroom was located inside the McDonald's at 1467 Rockaway Pkwy., CBS News reported.

Smith locked the door behind him, shoved the woman up against a wall, and pulled down his pants, police said.
But when the frightened woman screamed, Smith dashed out of the bathroom and onto the street, police said.

Police released video surveillance footage of their suspect on Friday and Smith was apprehended Saturday evening.

Smith was arraigned in Brooklyn Criminal Court Monday on seven charges that include attempted rape, unlawful imprisonment, forcible touching, public lewdness and harassment, court records show.
Smith was held on a $75,000 bail, according to court records.
