MTA Conductor Punched By Man Found Sleeping On C Train
It was a rude awakening for both.

EAST NEW YORK — An MTA conductor was punched in the face by man she found sleeping on the C train, police said.
The 40-year-old MTA employee woke her sleeping attacker on a southbound C train stopped at the Euclid Avenue station near Pitkin Avenue around 9 p.m. last Friday, said police.
The man jumped up, punched the woman in the face and fled into the station, said police.

Emergency responders rushed the MTA conductor to Jamaica Hospital in stable condition, police said.
Surveillance cameras captured images of the suspect, whom police describe as a man in his twenties who stands about five-foot-ten, weighs about 175 pounds and was last seen wearing a red hat, black shorts and black sneakers.
