MTA Guard Attacked In Sutter Ave L Train Station, Police Say

An MTA Collecting Agent fought off a man who tried to pull his gun from his holster, said police.

BROWNSVILLE, BROOKLYN — Police are hunting for the man who snuck up behind an MTA collecting agent and tried to pull his gun out of his holster in an L train station Sunday night.

Rodney Duncan, 24, lunged at the 47-year-old agent as he guarded an MTA MetroCard vending machine that was being repaired at the Sutter Avenue L train station around 9 p.m., police said.

The collecting agent fought Duncan off, but was unable to catch the would-be robber when he fled into the station, said police.

Police describe Duncan as a 24-year-old man, weighing 185 pounds with brown eyes, black hair and last seen wearing a black shirt, black sweatpants and black sneakers.
