Police Impersonator Steals $600 In Brownsville: NYPD
Police are looking for the man who pretended to be an officer when he held up another man for $600.

BROWNSVILLE, BROOKLYN — A robber pretending to be a police officer stole $600 from his unsuspecting victim, according to police.
The thief robbed his 39-year-old victim at gunpoint after offering him a ride near Pitkin and Rockaway avenues on Nov. 3 around 3:30 p.m., said police.
During the ride, the robber — who was driving a black SUV with New York license plates — whipped out a gun and a police shield and demanded his passenger hand over his cash, said police.

He grabbed the money then dropped the 39-year-old off near Prospect Place and East New York Avenue before speeding away, said police.
Police released surveillance images of the suspect — whom they describe as a 5-foot-10, 200-pound man in his forties — on Wednesday.
