Teenager Slashed Outside East New York High School, Police Say

The 16-year-old was slashed on the back and leg outside William H. Maxwell Career and Technical Education High School on Tuesday.

EAST NEW YORK, BROOKLYN — A 16-year-old boy was slashed in the back outside a Brooklyn high school Tuesday afternoon, according to police.

The teenager was attacked near William H. Maxwell Career and Technical Education High School on Glenmore and Pennsylvania avenues around 3:30 p.m., said police.

Emergency responders rushed the young man — with slash wounds on his back and leg — to Brookdale University Hospital in stable condition, police said.

City Education Department officials told the Daily News the attack was not school related.
