Robbers Hit East New York Deli Twice In Two Days, Police Say

Police are hunting for two men who stole more than $1,200 from the Habibi Deli on Fulton Street last Monday and Tuesday,.

EAST NEW YORK, BROOKLYN — Two men are wanted for habitually robbing the Habibi Deli, police said.

Two men stole more than $1,200 from the Habibi Deli at 2761 Fulton Street during two repeat heists last Monday and Tuesday, said police.

The men first burst into Habibi Deli around 2:50 a.m. Monday, when one of them pointed a gun at a deli employee and forced him to hand over $700 in cash, said police.

The duo returned 24 hours later and once again threatened to shoot an employee who handed over $500 from the cash register and $70 from his own pocket, said police.

No injuries were reported from either hold-up and after both heists, the pair fled southbound on Miller Avenue, according to police.

Police describe the first suspect as a man in his early twenties who stands about five-foot-seven, weighs about 165 pounds, and was last seen toting a gun and wearing a black hoodie, black sweatpants and white gloves.

Police described his partner as a slim man last seen wearing a black-and-white patterned hoodie, black pants and black sneakers.
