Watch: Man Robbed Of $16K In East New York Street
Surveillance footage shows the 64-year-old victim falling to the ground before being robbed of $16,000.
EAST NEW YORK, BROOKLYN — A man walking down a Brooklyn street in the middle of the night with $16,000 in cash was robbed at gunpoint, police said.
The 64-year-old man was attacked as he opened the door of his pickup truck, parked outside 60 Weldon St., around 2:30 a.m. on July 15, said police.
Video surveillance footage shows his attacker lunging from behind, punching him to the ground and, with the help of an accomplice, grabbing the loot and fleeing.

The suspect can be seen pacing the street before the robbery and is quickly joined by his partner, who helped him grab the cash and yank away the man’s jewelry, according to police.

Their victim was not seriously injured and did not need hospitalization, police said.
Police describe the two robbers as men, one wearing a who wore a baseball hat, dark t-shirt and dark pants and the other wearing a white t-shirt, dark pants and white sneakers.
