Local residents who resettled in Buffalo describe the emotional toll of watching the disaster from afar and are beginning to organize fundraising efforts in Western New York to support those affected overseas.
• Top QBs sit out as Bills overtake Steelers in preseason finale (statenews.net) — Buffalo-area fans saw the Bills finish an undefeated preseason, rallying past the Steelers 28–27 in Orchard Park with backups leading the way while Josh Allen rested.
