• 'It's devastating': Community weighs in on BPS closure proposal (wivb.com) — Buffalo families and staff are reacting with alarm to a proposal that could close or repurpose eight Buffalo Public Schools, including PS 82, The Ronald Peoples School of Scholars. Parents fear young students will lose their neighborhood school, trusted teachers, and walkable commutes. The plan, aimed at addressing enrollment and budget issues, still needs Board of Education approval after public meetings this month.
